My son is a freshman in a JUCO in North Florida. He is a pitcher and was just cut from the team. Until he had grade issues in his senior year he was being recruited by Miami and FSU. He has always had some control problems with his fastball but he also pitched games with good control. He has no problem throwing a curveball or slider for a strike. He was cut because he can’t thrown his fastball for a strike. All the coaches agree there is nothing wrong with his mechanics and they believe his inability to throw strikes is a mental issue. Is this something you deal with or could you recommend someone. He is located in Palatka, Florida but he could travel some distance if necessary.
